A Family. A Promise.
A Houston Legacy.
Seven Star isn't a corporation built in a boardroom — it's the story of two kids who fell in love, built a life together, and turned that life into a business serving Houston for forty years.
1977
Roger & Jan, Forever
On July 7th, 1977, Roger and Jan Graves got married. That date — 7/7/77 — would become the heartbeat of everything they built together. The name Seven Star was born from this day.
1980s
Building a Life Together
Children, a home, a future to provide for. The early eighties brought the family that would inspire a business — and the work ethic to build it from nothing.
Seven Star is Founded
A small warehouse on Wycliffe. A few lines of tape. A delivery van and a handshake. Roger and Jan opened Seven Star Packaging with a simple promise: serve Houston businesses with the supplies they need, exactly when they need them.
Expansion to West Belt
Word spread. Customers stayed. Seven Star outgrew its original space and moved to the larger West Belt facility — the fourth warehouse in eight years, and the clearest sign yet that something special was happening.
Building Their Own at 5910 Brittmoore
For the first time, Seven Star wouldn't lease — they'd build. Roger and Jan broke ground on their own warehouse at 5910 Brittmoore Road, the home Seven Star still operates from today. A permanent foundation for a permanent commitment to Houston.
The Next Generation Steps Up
When grandkids arrived, Roger and Jan knew the time had come. In 2023, they handed the reins to their son Justin — and stepped into the role they'd been waiting for: grandparents, travelers, and the proudest spectators a family business could ask for.
Today, Seven Star carries over 30,000 SKUs and serves businesses across Greater Houston. But the heart of it hasn't changed since 1985 — show up, take care of your customers, and treat them like family. Because that's how this whole thing started.
